Freestyle Motocross
It is a variation on the sport of motocross in which motorcycle riders attempt to impress judges with jumps and stunts. For the first time this kind of sport appeared in USA in the nineties
Freestyle Motocross, the older of the two disciplines. Riders perform two routines, lasting between 90 seconds and 14 minutes, on a course consisting of multiple jumps of varying lengths and angles that generally occupy one to two acres (.4 to .8 hectres). Like Big Air, a panel of judges assigns each contestant a score based on a 100-point scale, looking for difficult tricks and variations over jumps.
Each factor influences an assessment and the general result of speech of athletes. Since 1999, motor-freestyle was included in programs of the international competitions - Gravity Games, LG Actions Sports, and later and specialized contests of Dew Tour, Red Bull X-Fighters and others.
The first the rank of the world champion in FMX was won by Swiss Mat Rebo, the set of informal World Cups awarded Norwegian Aylo Gaup, are well-known the champion Robbie Meddison from Australia, Ronnie Renner from States.
Interesting facts:
1)The first successful attempt to make a somersault was executed by Carey Hart in 2000 on a 250-vat bike. The same year the trick was executed by it at the official competitions Gravity Games.
